Is this board just a reflection of West Indies cricket. Threads averaging 20 sintin, with the occasional 30 sintin?
@Narper
Currently, WI cricket not inspiring to say the least... Waiting on regional competition to commence...😀
Despite admitting he was disappointed after the West Indies failed to win the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Cricket West Indies President Dr Kishore Shallow has revealed that there is no immediate intention to fire head coach Daren Sammy.

The effin board not interested in winning.
No other country retain failing coaches....not even the poorest country

I am one of Darren Sammy’s critics. I don’t believe he should be head coach of the W.I. team in the 3 formats our team competes in.
That said…..while the truth is we only beat England at a time in the tournament that didn’t really matter to either W.I. or England, and the other matches we won were against associate teams and Zimbabwe, we must admit that the team showed great team spirit and played decent cricket at the tournament.
Even in the match that we lost handily to South Africa, the lower order showed fight to lost the total we ended up with.
We also did pretty well against India before ultimately succumbing.
To fire Darren Sammy after this World Cup from the T20 team would be counter productive at this time IMO.
The players clearly bought into his vision, they executed for the most part, and did well in the tournament.
Should he keep his position as ODI and Test coach as well? Debateable. I am tempted to say not as test coach.
But, his first assignments as head coach could hardly have been more daunting:
Oz in the Caribbean
India and New Zealand away.
We were expected to lose those series. We were not expected to be dismissed for 27.
I think the prudent thing to do with regards to firing anybody is sack Floyd Reifer immediately as batting coach. In all 3 formats.
