Not a word from you on slow ass Shai.

You disappoint, put bias aside and I'm sure you understand cricket better than your comment suggest.
Chase's innings upset the tempo and others including Hope had to take greater risks. With the line-up WI has why Be cagey in a 120 ball innings vs ITALY??
Promoting Chase to bat in the power play also reflects a huge amount of cowardice as well as a distrust by our decision makers in the ability of your middle order batsmen to undertake the ill-advised role Chase is entrusted to accomplish.
As I say, this thinking is archaic and does not measure up to the astuteness of mordern day T20 international coaches.
There should be no half way measures in T20. You are not looking to draw T20 matches. It's binary. You either maximize your resources by putting your best foot forward or lose the game attempting to so do.
There can be no night watchman in T20 and imho, this is the role Chase is asked to perform and he takes pleasure in completing the job even if it eats up most of our batting resources.
It would have been a lot more sensible to have Chase retire in these circumstances.
Further, Chase cannot just take singles and have Hope who basically anchors our innings until the 15th over, take all the risks. This is just plain silly.
Then Powell came in after chase and like a diesel engine he took another over to get warm. 25 percent of our batting resources were fretted away JUST LIKE THIS.
This 25 percent under-performance is significant in the context of a T20 game. Add this to our historical huge volume of dot balls and you get the picture.
Brerks, you felt for my bait, Chase batting in the match had minimum effect on Shai 's. The partnership yielded 65 runs on 45 balls was the only saving grace in the match. Our batting failed miserably last night. Chase 's innings did not affect Shai's scoring. in fact, when both were batting together Shai sr was the highest during his innings.
I will agree that Chase SR does not allow him to bat at no4 or be in the team, but our batting problem lie with Powell and the untouchable King.
@tc1
i agree. The sensible thing would have been either to maintain the batting order or even given Rovman some extra overs to bat. As for King, in typical West Indian style, the man is still feasting off a CPL century of about 10 years ago.
King has more T20 runs than Chris Gayle....Who will you replace him with?
Johnson Charles?
@Trex
This is a meaningless statement on Brandon King above.
BK has played 3 more T20 matches than CG. He has a lower average, also a lower SR and 43 more runs.

Nuances
How many singles and dots in that partnership?
How many balls Hope faced?
How likely was it for Rutherford to have hit more boundaries from some of the dots Chase drove straight to fielders?
What was a "good" partnership could've been better and set us up for 200. Left/Right could've been advantageous also
Under more pressure could've then allowed Rutherford, Powell, Holder to go "brerzerk"😂
@Brerzerk
These are important considerations.
My metric has always been "Power and certainty" analysis where dot balls or lack thereof take centre stage.
To put it in a cursory perspective, had Chase scored at Rotherford's SR on that day, West Indies would have been 16 runs richer. This is significant in the context of a T20 international
The opportunity cost of Roston Chase batting at No. 4 in the last match was 16 runs.
I think you guys have failed to understand this team just stumbled upon a winning formula and is running on pure adrenaline and belief within each other!!!
The only batsman capable of batting the way you guys want is Shimron and to a lesser extent Hope and Rutherford who take that little bit extra to get going!!!
King is just below those three but he’s woefully out of form and the rest are just shut your eyes and swing!!!
Roston Chase is bits and pieces but on his day can be good we just have to hope it’s soon!!!
We’ll need a lot of prayers and good vibes to reach the semis but I’m confident WI can do so #Rally
