@Halliwell
It’s difficult to comprehend as of why WI opted not drafted a contract that stipulates, if needed to play for windies he’s required to be available…🫤🤔
@Cricket_101
Then that would be a Conditional Objection Certificate, Hanpshire needs a No Objection Certificate ....
really unfortunate for the guy that would have continued to aid his development now he has to play in the dungheap wi fc championship i suppose
Last I checked Seales was a Titty, and only Bajans are 'qualified' to play English County Cricket these days.
@Kay
Windies cricket is priority.... And based on what i read, Seales contract with Hamspire is short term.
Then that would be a Conditional Objection Certificate, Hanpshire needs a No Objection Certificate ....
And of course in the long term, sheesh, or even medium term interest of the WI, it’s better he get experience in the micro mini regional tournament than in England…
maybe it’s a ‘no one left behind thing’ where instead of developing the good ones further you want them to reach down and bring the rest up.
ent the coach supposed to do that
@Halliwell
is nt this a trade contract violation
dont the WICB have lawyers haha
@velo
Met him with an official from Hampshire about 2 years ago,both were in agreement about the support and development he received from Hampshire. The official said Seales was one of them , and Hampshire was very happy and proud to have him. I do hope CWI has had a good, long chat with him. Before taking this decision.
With Seales being restricted from going it would have been good if the WI could have offered up Layne, Shields or Blades instead. WI cricketers need the exposure
@Cricket_101
the article says it was TTCB and not CWI that blocked the move. To some extent I understand why. The man should play for his nation first and then a county after. Of course if the regional FC was not postponed for the World Cup T20 (still trying to make sense of that) then it would not have been a problem.
