@InHindsight
Yep
when she stepped away from the game plus the injury. Yep she ain’t half as good as she was prior the her absence
@InHindsight
Qiana Joseph tek ova.
That 45 top score the other day serves as conformation.
@InHindsight
You have not seen her in a West Indies uniform in a year, due to injury.
I will wait before inserting someone in her spot.
@Drapsey
I'd like to see Qiana do some about her fitness but her trajectory is heading in the right direction
Hopefully this isn't déjavū with another West Indian cricketer Deandra Dottin some years ago had been a superstar female WI cricket. A triumvate was slowly forming.
Stephany Taylor though by then had been a premier player. Then Hayley Matthews busted onto the scene like a breath of refresh air. Dottin was in her prime and we were enjoying.
Then she got bitten by the Darren Bravo bug. Apparently administrative issues had brought about her untimely retirement. Both their returns had been underwhelming except that the latter is still playing internationally.
I can't help but think about Nicholas Pooran and his sudden retirement in his prime. Surely he will not return after the Sammy/Shallow era. Only recently I had a cursory glance at a headline where an Indian journalist or cricketer - i don't recall, said how "tired" Pooran now looks and that it may have been a bad idea to have retired when he did.
