The youth left Bim at 12 and therefore spent his formative years in England. Lemme stay with my Jewel you see. Me nah support no Englishman.

Indian cricket chief Shah revealed that at one point during the India v England match, about 65.2 million viewers tuned in to JioHotstar to watch the action live. The highest concurrent viewership record for any live event in history.

Jacob Bethell is going to have "a hell of a career" with England, said captain Harry Brook, after the left-hander's brilliant 105 on Thursday almost took his side to a record chase against India in the T20 World Cup semi-final.

It was only when he was run out off the first ball of the final over that India could finally celebrate and England finished agonisingly short on 246-7.

"He's a phenomenal player," Brook told reporters. "he's going to make serious money"

"It was a ridiculous knock you feel like he could hit nearly every ball for six."

Ok Bajans clinging on to their English batting sensation. The other day it was Jofra but injuries got the better of him and his 4 overs went for 61 in that same match so now allyuh pon d Bethell Wagon.

Hope it works out well for you all.

@voiceofreason

I am a supporter of every Bajan who is playing cricket, I would all of them to succeed.

I left bim 56 years ago, but I still love my Barbadian cricketers.

@openning

Happy for you. I will never support an English Cricketer although I do have a British passport.

@voiceofreason

The same way you support mediocre Scammy to the very end,

if the same way Bajans support Bajan cricketers.

It is called patriotism, although sometime with you is insularity.

Archer was on the road to greatness before two (three) serious injuries.

People also forget that he has a serious injury as a youth cricketer.

Serious injuries hampered many cricketer from greatness.

Bishop (2 back injuries)

Fidel (back injury)

Collins (Back injury)

Collymore (Back injuries)

RTN (knee injuries)

Roach (Back, shoulder and leg injuries [including road traffic collision])

Rooran (near death road traffic collision)

Alzarie Joseph (Back injuries, present on-going injury)

There is a lot more names that I can add,

however, of all the names listed above, Pooran recovered the best.

Back injuries hold back pacers more that anyone else.

Oh when they do it is patriotism but when I do it is insularity? Sammy was quicker before his injury too. Ended up taking 7fer on debut despite of his limitations.

I must be different, I am a bajan and I consider Archer and Bethel Englishmen and English cricketers, I believe nationality is chosen and they chose theirs, I do not support them nor celebrate their accomplishments, I have no interest in the cricket nor cricketers of other countries. my support is reserved for Shai Hope and others who chose to represent me on the field of war

Sun, Mar 8, '26 at 2:45 PM

@hawk

I am not bajan, but am glad when they do perform, as long as is not against us.

Sun, Mar 8, '26 at 2:49 PM

@natty_forever

that is a fair and acceptable stance

Sun, Mar 8, '26 at 4:12 PM

@Castled

You speak like a house slave and a badd casevof inferiority complex. I thought you generation had already become extinct

Mon, Mar 9, '26 at 1:00 PM

@hawk

You should get out of Bim and you will see, how you can make a living and still be a Bajan.

Both of these guy will tell you thay are bajan just like you, there are just making a living by playing for England.

They are also leaving a spot for the next guy.

@voiceofreason

Oh when they do it is patriotism but when I do it is insularity?

Is that what you got from my statement about you?

I guess you did not see the word 'sometimes'.

Oh well, don't expect any different from you.

Tue, Mar 10, '26 at 10:54 AM

@openning

first of all, it is not about leaving Bim, i am not against anyone leaving Bim to make a living, I have relatives all over the place, including Children at one point in time, it is about who you chose to represent, they have chosen to represent another country IN A SPORT THAT WE PLAY. that is their choice and i am fine with that.

Whoever wants to play for England that is their choice,

But guess what...... I also have a choice in whom i support on the field of war and that support will always belongs to the West Indies cricket and cricketers..... win, lose or draw. Archer and Bethel does not represent west indies cricket nor are they West Indian cricketers.

wasn't Gordon Greenidge and Courtney Browne born in England??? but they chose Barbados and west Indies and in my book they are both Bajans and had my support whenever they flew my flag, it does not matter where you were born or where you chose to make your living as long as you fly my flag i am with you, even if you fly my flag in a sport that we don't play, i am also fine with that, case in point Ice Hockey i cheered for Anson Carter and Fred Brathwaite.

Archer and Bethel fly a flag that is not mine hence they do not have my support especially when playing against my team, any celebrating i do is when they get out. the only thing I have in common with Bethel and Archer is place of birth, which does not always determine nationality.
