@CCW

48 without kohli and Rohit. India lost a few when they did some wild experiment. Otherwise they are very consistent. They hold the record for most consecutive wins in world cup. Anybody is beatable including India. That doesn't mean others are superior automatically. Remaining 4 teams can best each other on a given day. To be frank I never expected us to win . We lose whenever we are outright favorites at the start. That's fine.

@natty_forever

Now SA arguably the best team in the Tournament has suffered defeat by toss!!!

@WIfan26

not just the toss....excellent bowling plans by NZ ...apparently one of their coaches was with S.A. for awhile an hence had a good incite to SA batting strengths/weaknesses an NZ was able to execute.....yes the toss helps though!

@CCW

Yea fair enough you can also add in the ground as well Modi’s ground was tailor made for SA so coming to Eden Gardens they didn’t adjust!!!

@WIfan26

Some here will be in denial.

@natty_forever

The toss is the greatest decider for these games.

@natty_forever

West Indies would have still lost in such a high pressure match! You seriously believe they would have won had they won the toss?!? Steuuups!

New Zealand was just the better team! Simple!

if the toss is so important, it makes the competition meaningless. We saw that in WI v England in the Caribbean a couple years ago where it was win toss and chase and win. Every time.

My suggestion is that who wins the toss decides to bat or field but the loser gets to change up to 2 players in his team after the toss to neutralize the effect of the luck and chance involved in a toss.

Win the toss win the match for the most part cos there isn't a truly great bowling attack amongst any of the teams...one or two greats like Bumrah but overall the batting is way too good fuh the bowling when given a good wicket an when yuh add the dew factor the chasing side has a significant advantage ....on the odd occasion a team might succumb to scoreboard pressure which more often than not is a mental thing rather than necessarily great bowling.....in the t20 format overall batting has improved more than the bowling so the toss is vitaly important esp in night matches in India.. will be surprised whoever wins the toss with India/ Hengland if they decide to bat!!

@CCW

Cannot agree more.

Wed, Mar 4, '26 at 4:18 PM

@CCW

I’m referring specifically to the Windies/India match! Had India batted first they would have more than likely scored more than 200 runs which would have made it that much more difficult for Windies to win! That just the way I see it!

@StumpCam

I disagree

Wed, Mar 4, '26 at 4:24 PM

I will be calling my bookies, I hope they allow me to place a bet after the toss.

Wed, Mar 4, '26 at 4:39 PM

@StumpCam

fair enough but I'm speaking overall on winning the toss in favourable conditions....yes it might have been a tough ask fuh Windies but batting is our strength an i believe overall we are the best batting team, when batting 1st yuh tend to be more conservative cos there is no target ..unfortunately we didn't get a chance to prove it cos we keep losing the facking toss ...at times yuh just need a little luck but unfortunately we didn't get any!!
