...Own destiny...

Zimbabwe and West Indies both are in position to determine their destiny in this WC2026. Every game matters in this phase of the tournament. You have to win at least 2 games with a healthy NRR to get to the next round. This is the proverbial group of death albeit ridiculously featuring all 4 group winners.

Sikanda Raza is someone we know as he is a feature in the CPL. The openers Bennett and Marumani are new to us and so is the 6"8 phenom pacer Blessing Muzarabani.

Looking forward to this game! I like Zim, but somebody will have to pay.

Let's go West Indies!

@voiceofreason

Time fuh us to face de music an see if we really in it to win it....so far things have dropped nicely fuh us ...like Scotland replacing Bangladesh....like Zim/Ireland game washout an hence eliminating Aus who would have taken Zim place had Ireland beaten them....if Windies survive the so called group of death an make the semis WE WINNING IT šŸ†!!!

@CCW

One game at a time. Let us try to win this game first.

So what team do we play? Shepherd or Forde? I like Forde and I think in the long run he will pass up Shepherd. Just needs to work on his bowling outside PP, specifically in the death.

King I am staying with him, hoping that he will come good.

Hope

Hetymeyer

Rutherford

Powell needs a big innings if called upon.

Holder

Chase

Shepherd

Motie

Joseph

Hosein

@voiceofreason

Unless he was injured not sure Shep is in the running ...surely he would have played against Italy....by the time of Zim match he wouldn't have played fuh 2 weeks....its not as if he's a superstar an being kept under wraps....an even superstars need time in the middle!!

Sat, Feb 21, '26 at 4:56 PM

SHep should play because of his experience in INdia

Leave it to Sammy, so far so good.

@voiceofreason

I’m hoping both WI & India beat ZIM & SA so the match against India is a just an exhibition match and WI make it to the Semis!!!

Every Man has a right to decide his...own destiny

Given the comments on this message board from people like Yadi, Raggs and others, that obviously does not apply to Pooran

You on the other hand, leaves nothing outside your off stump. ļ»æšŸ˜‚ļ»æ

@voiceofreason

Chase sits and Shepherd in.

Chase returns for the other two super 8s

Sun, Feb 22, '26 at 10:52 AM

@WIfan26

I am hoping for us to win all three games and not leave anything to NRR.

Sun, Feb 22, '26 at 10:53 AM

@InHindsight

Yes you are right. I realise too that Zimbabwe does not have a lot of lefties like India and RSA so maybe save Chase for those games? Tough call.

Sun, Feb 22, '26 at 10:55 AM

@imusic

I cannot comment on those remarks but I am glad he is happy and the West indies team the same.

Sun, Feb 22, '26 at 11:04 AM

@InHindsight

@voiceofreason

Shep seems to be in everybody's team but nobody seems to be bothered that he hasn't played fuh nearly 2 weeks....why??

Sun, Feb 22, '26 at 11:12 AM

@CCW

Shep needs to come to get game time 'cause he may be needed with bat and/or ball later on. Chase looks to be surplus to requirement versus Zimbabwe, for obvious reasons
