Under 27’s stewardship, this captain and vice captain appointment thing is bizarre to say the least.

What metrics are being used to appoint players to these roles?

The latest head scratcher is Akeal Hosein. What exactly has he done to merit this appointment?

How many teams has he previously captained? What’s his captaincy record? What is the criteria used to appoint him as T20 captain ahead of the likes of a Jason Holder?


Is as if 27 ketch a VAPS and used the same metrics that he used to appoint the most recent test captain and vice captain, to this role.

There are any number of players in that squad who could have been appointed captain ahead of Akeal Hosein.

Perhaps Holder was offered and declined. Who knows?

I don’t even know if Akeal has even captained his school team. Maybe he has.
