You guys do not understand the psychology of T 20 cricket Hetty has failed in 7 innings including 3 ducks but look at the 3 innings he did well in. Three match winning innings.

In T 20 cricket it is the highs that are important. If you have 3 batsmen in your team who each play 3 match winning innings out of 10 matches then you are likely to win 6-8 matches.
Regularly scoring 40 runs at a strike rate of 130 is not as helpful as it does not win you matches.
It is a difference between T 20 and test cricket that many folks still have not grasped.
It is the reason why some test players are not good T 20 players because their batting tends to be risk averse.

That is why T 20 cricket is not regarded as highly by cricket cognoscenti!!!!!!!

One of the reasons people dislike Hetty so vehemently is that he clearly has more ability than his record suggests.He seems quite lazy and does not work as hard as people like the former test captain Paint,yet he earns far more than Kraigg.It seems unfair that in order to be successful at test cricket requires you to work twice as hard and it involves much more time and effort whereas Hetty can work for a total of 4 months a year and earn several times more.
This phenomena is also in other professions where some people earn millions of dollars doing piffle while others are doing grunt work and earn pennies.

Hetty is very much loved in Guyana...people does get vex, cause they know he better than we see sometimes. T20 has spoiled him...unfortunately. I think he would have been a great test player, he has all the skill sets. There is still time, if he has the desire to play test cricket again

Making a name vs making money is not a difficult choice for the modern day cricketer as money in the bank will always be a safer bet.

Sometimes Fans have to pay attention to the player words and actions.
Hetty from early on said, “I like hitting sixes!”
So, he lives and dies by hitting sixes!
